I came across this short Forbes article,“The 10 Worst Stereotypes About Powerful Women” and was intrigued. What had these very successful women experienced on their way to the top? Stereotypes are alive and kicking—and they negatively impact careers and job prospects in innumerable ways. Christine Lagarde (IMF Chief), Halley Bock (CEO of Fierce), Jill Abramson (Executive Editor of The New York Times), Laura Chinchilla (Costa Rican President) and others echoed sentiments that ripple across all our workplaces.
Bill Would Require NY Hotel Owners to Provide Sexual Harassment Training

Following the charges of sexual assault and attempted rape of a Manhattan hotel housekeeper by former IMF Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, two democratic lawmakers have introduced legislation that would require hotel and motel owners in New York State to provide sexual harassment training to all employees.

After a week of insisting that a hacker was responsible for a lewd picture sent to a Washington state college student , Congressmen Anthony Weiner has finally confessed to tweeting the photo himself. To make matters worse, Weiner also admits he has had online exchanges with several women, some of unknown age but according to Wiener, “they're all adults, at least to the best of my knowledge."
